I had composed this arrangement of Agapanthus (アガパンサス), Ochroleuca (オクロレウカ), Spray Roses (スプレーバラ), and Leatherleaf Fern (レザーファン).

Now, the temperature in my room is 28℃. Many of the spray roses in this arrangement have been dying. I'm going to take out an electric fan from the storage this weekend.

Misunderstand

Yesterday, my father called me and said
"Mom (my mother) went to a hospital, but she hasn't come back yet. Maybe she got hospitalized, but I don't know where she is."
He sounded in a panic. I was very surprised to hear this. I said to him that he should be at home. It was around at five o'clock. According to him, my mother left home in the morning.
Firstly, I called my brother about it. He also lives far away from my parents, but he could go back there because it was Friday. It takes about three hours by car. I was thinking that I would go back by plane.

I then called some hospitals to ask whether or not my mother gets hospitalized. However, I didn't get any information.
My father said that maybe, the hospital was near a convenience store. My brother and I thought that there was no hospitals or clinics near the nearest convenience store from my parents' house.
My father said that he was going to go around the convenience store to get information. My brother told him not to use his car but walk there.

About one hour later, my mother called me that she had been in a hair salon. When she left there and was walking, she found my father walking around the convenience store. It was not the nearest convenience store from their house. It took about thirty minutes on foot from their house. It was lucky for them to meet each other.

'Hospital' is Byoin, and 'hair salon' is Biyoin, in Japanese. My father had misunderstood them.
Besides, he has a bad memory because of his age.

I arranged these flowers which had been picked up from my teacher's garden.
When I got to her house, she had already prepared various flowers and leaves from her garden. I chose among them to arrange.
I'm not sure about some names of the flowers.

I thought that I really want to have my own garden, too. If I had one, I would plant some vegetables, herbs, and, of course, flowers. It is my dream.

Oh, speaking of my dream, I want to be a grandmother. Can I see my grandchild in the future? I really hope so although my son is still too young to get married. This is my new dream.

I had composed this arrangement of Iris (ハナショウブ) and Peony (シャクヤク).

Arranging Iris is one of the most difficult arranging in our school. There are so many rules for its leaves, the length, the directions, flower heads, and so on. However, as for this arrangement, it was easier than its strict traditional way.

The other day, I made some pickled scallions.
I washed fresh scallions to remove the soil. I then peeled its surface-skin, and cut a little of its both edges. Finally, I marinated them with hot liquid (2 cups of water, 1 cup of Mirin, 3 cups of vinegar, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 table spoon of salt).

Although I had learned sewing for a few years, I can sew only very easy and simple clothing.
I made this skirt from just a rectangle. I had referred this site.

I had composed this arrangement of Sunflower (ヒマワリ), Carnation (スプレーカーネーション), Solidago (ソリダコ), and Leatherleaf Fern (レザーファン).

This style is called The One-Row Form (multisided). You can also enjoy seeing it from the opposite side.

By the way, I recently found a cook-ahead recipe of bread.

You don't need a bread machine, but it's easier to make. I made dough by hand at first, but I can keep it in the fridge for nearly a week. The dough can ferment in the fridge little by little. You have consumed it day by day, and little by little.

I made a few rolls of salt bread yesterday.

IMG_1447_convert_20170517204641.jpg
I put some butter on the dough.

IMG_1449_convert_20170517204733.jpg
I added some egg yolk, olive oil, and some rock salt, on the top.

IMG_1455_convert_20170517204818.jpg

I then made a few cheese buns this morning.

IMG_1456_convert_20170517204524.jpg

You can make only what you eat at a time. After you take out the dough from the fridge, you add some ingredients such as cheese. You cover it with wet cloth and make ferment it in a warm place for about 15 minutes. Finally, you put them in the oven at 170℃ for 15 minutes.

I had composed this arrangement of Allium (丹頂アリアム), Gerbera (ガーベラ), and Polyscias (ポリシャス).

I arranged them with a free style, which is difficult for me. At first, I prepared three containers. I wanted to arrange three alliums from three directions, but it was very difficult for me to arrange the third allium. I tried it again and again, but I ended up giving up third container.

Allium is a kind of leek. They smell leeks well.
