I had composed this arrangement of Peony (シャクヤク), Iris (アヤメ), and Honeysuckle (忍冬、ニンドウ).

All of these flowers were picked from my teacher's garden as well as before. I arranged them in a free style.

Honeysuckle (忍冬、ニンドウ)

My husband visited us after a month or so.
I was shocked to hear from him that I have a double chin. I check my weight before taking a bath every night, and mine has been the same recently. Why did only my chin become fat? I didn't understand. I searched how to shape up the chin by the Internet. I soon exercised as per the instructions on youtube.
However, I ended up with just once. It was bothersome.

I had composed this arrangement of Helleborus (or Christmas Rose, クリスマスローズ), Fringed Iris (シャガ), Gymnaster (ミヤコワスレ), Columbine (オダマキ), Azalea (ツツジ), and Myosotis (ワスレナグサ).

All of these flowers were picked up from my teacher's garden. She let me arrange with free style. There were more kinds of flowers and vases.

I had thought that Christmas roses were blooming in Christmas season, but according to my teacher, they started blooming just after snow melted. I was surprised to hear this.

I like LUMONDE (ルマンド) very much. This is a kind of cookies produced by BOURBON. I have had it since I was a child. I was attracted by not only taste, but also its name. It looked Western and fancy for me when I was a child, but actually, it was inexpensive.

The other day, I found a bar of icecream including LUMONDE at a convenience store. So, I bought one on impulse.
To tell the truth, it was better for me to eat individually, a cookie / an icecream.

I had composed this arrangement of Iris Laevigata (or Rabbit-ear Iris) (燕子花/カキツバタ).
This is one of the most difficult arrangements in our Ohara school. Moreover, there are three seasonal ways, for spring, for summer, and for fall. At this time, I learned one for summer.
I had to follow many rules to arrange it.

I took a monthly Ikebana test last Sunday. I was supposed to arrange using Iris Laevigata. So, I had to memorize many rules until then. Unfortunately, I had a party in the evening before the test. I left the party a little earlier than the other attendees. It was already about 23:30 though.
The result was ... not bad.

A professor arranged two works for us there.

I was surprised to hear from the professor that the number of Chinese who wants to learn Japanese Ikebana has been increasing. I hope to inform Ikebana to foreigners in English someday.
A long time ago, I had only one experience for a short period. It was an exchange learning. I taught a foreigner Ikebana while she taught me English. We had exchanged about five times.

After I got home, my son gave me a present as a Mother's day gift. It was the first time for him to give me a present voluntarily on Mother's day. I was very glad to get it.

I saw some apple blossoms today.

I had composed this arrangement of Viburnum Furcatum (虫狩/ムシカリ), Rose (バラ), and Gold dust dracaena (ゴッドセフィアナ) for a monthly Ikebana test.

Several days later, I took the test today.
I found some flower buds of the Fuki near the parking lot.

A professor from Kagawa Prefecture arranged two works for us there.

When my mother got in critical condition a few months ago, the doctor recommended that close people for her come and see her. When I heard from my brother about it on the phone, I regreted one thing. That was what I had turned down my mother's offer. She had asked me to go to the hot springs together before.

She had had pneumonia, but she recovered fortunately. The doctor said that it was a miracle.
I took my son to see my parents during his spring vacation. I then went to the hot springs with my mother. I was glad to fulfill her wish.

Monthly Ikebana Test 3/18/2018

I took a monthly Ikebana test last Sunday after a long time.

When I was driving, and I was about to get the venue, I noticed that I had left almost everything for the test, such as the most important scissors.
I had to go back to my house to get them. However, I was relieved that I could get the venue on time.
The parking lot doesn't have enough space. So, whenever I go there, I give myself plenty of time to spare when I leave home.
Fortunately, I could park there, too.

After I took the test that I arranged, I knew that the professor had come from my hometown.
I felt an affinity with her soon. When she came to give me an advice for my arrangement (She gave an advice for every student.), I told her that my hometown was the same city as hers. We then talked a few words. I would often join monthly tests in my hometown before, but I've never seen her because she is very young.

The professor arranged two works for us there.
