↑A professor's two works.
I joined an Ikebana Sunday Workshop last weekend. I enjoyed it and learned many things from the professor.

I'm wearing special glasses to protect my eyes from the screen of computer now. It is said that the blue light from the screen is not good for eyes.

I got the result of the last TOEIC test held on September 25th.
The score was 800 (Listening 420 and Reading 380).
To be honest, I wanted a higher score this time because I had studied hard before the test. I had decided to study for two hours every day from last July 1st. When I was too busy to study for several days, I made them up on weekends. I fulfilled my decision in the end.
I had spent a long time to read many articles. I think that it caused my right eye damaged.
Unfortunately, my reading portion was not so good.
Studying hard should be when you are young.

Now, I have been lazy since I finished the test. I want to be relaxed for a while.
However, I think I should resume studying from November little by little before forgetting everything I had studied. I want to get a higher score next time.
Maybe, it is difficult for me to even maintain the present score.

study English 9/2/2016

↑A pot of spearmint is blooming in my small balcony now.

September has come. I bought a new book for TOEIC (TOEICテスト非公式問題集至高の400問).

IMG_0403_convert_20160902231152.jpg

I studied two kinds of books (でる順パス単、文で覚える単熟語) for Eiken 1 during last month. I haven't finished them yet. As for でる順パス単, I finished about only fifty pages, while I finished one third of 文で覚える単熟語.
I will take Enken 1 after I finish those two books completely. It will take a long time.
To be honest, I passed Eiken Pre 1 at the fifth trial more than a decade ago. Eiken Tests have become more difficult, so, I'm not sure I can pass it at present.

I resumed studying for TOEIC mainly from this month. There are few books for the new style of TOEIC at bookstores. I'm waiting for new books.

placenta extract

I really want to look younger, but I look older.

One day in last winter, two of my friends and I went to have lunch together.
Over the lunch, one of my friends told me that she goes to a doctor to get a shot of placenta extract once a month. She told me that it is good especially for skin and it makes your skin younger. She also said that her hair grows fast.
To my surprise, the other friend also gets the shot periodically.

As I was listening to them, I was interested in it. They told me how well it worked.
They said that it was not so expensive, but I thought that it seemed to be used by celebrities. Moreover, I hate shots and it is troublesome for me to go to a doctor every month. Although the placenta extract was from humans, I wondered whether or not it has side effects.

However, when I turned on a TV last month, a bottle of placenta extract was promoted by chance.
I was glued to the TV promotion. Although it is from pigs, I thought that the lotion was better than a shot for me. Besides, it was a resonable price for only the first time.
I called to buy one soon after watching it.

I can't tell difference things usually, so, I decided to put it on my half face which is worse than the other. I mean that my left side of my face has deeper wrinkles. If it works well, it will become better than the right one. It will be easy for me to distinguish between them.

I have used it for a few weeks. I think that my blotches became lighter. I'll see when the bottle runs out.

nanoparticles

One day, when I was watching my son's club activities at the ground, a mom-friend told me that my son's sports uniform's color was clear. I thought that the reason why was to wash with trendy laundry detergent.
It is a little expensive, but I got some packs of the detergent from someone.
The package says that it decomposes the dirt into nano level, so, it can clean well.
I was impressed how it worked, and I thought that I would buy another when it runs out.

On the other hand, I read an article about the nanoparticles recently.
According to the article, a strand of human hair is about 80,000nanometers wide. Nanotechnology creates a wide rage of products now. However, the nanoparticles could easily enter the human skin, and could go into even tissues or nervous system as well.
Some researchers suggest that nanoparticles have the potential to cause DNA mutation and cell death.

I was surprised to read the article. I don't know which product is safe or not, but I was glad to get the information.

'they'

I went on a trip to Onuma National Park (大沼国定公園). Unfortunately, it was raining.

One of the resons to go there was to see Water Lilies.
I'm going to arrange them for the next Ikebana workshop.

The Water Lilies (河骨、コウホネ) have yet to bloom, but the appearances with buds were beautiful, too.

I got the result of the last TOEIC test (May 2016).
It was 770 (Listening 395, Reading 375).
I was dissapointed that the scores have been lower and lower over the past few years.
I have to study hard.

Yesterday, I found the title, You will not use 'he' or 'she' any more, on the net.
The new word is 'they' instead of them. Because, the number of people you can't tell 'he' or 'she' is increasing.
According to the article, you can use the word like below sentences.

For example,

I often see Matsuko on TV. They(instead of 'he' or 'she') is very popular in Japan nowadays.

Using 'they' instead of 'he' or 'she' in English will make me more confused.
I don't want to use 'they' instead of 'he' or 'she', but it is also difficult to tell 'he' or 'she' sometimes in these days.
