Ikebana 4/18/2012

I arranged Cherry blossoms, Thunbeng lilies(Sukashi-yuri) and Solomon's seals(Naruko-yuri) today.
About the Solomon's seals, I used only leaves not flowers. These leaves are beautiful.

I'm going to take part in an Ikebana exhibition in June.
The last time when I took part in was more than ten years ago. And it reminds me of my ex-teacher of Ikebana. At that time, she was around 90 years old. After I finihed arranging flowers at the exhibition hall, my ex-teacher and I were walking along the building. Suddenly she tumbled over a stone pavement. I was very surprised and worried about her because she was not young. She put her both hands on the pavement at the moment, but fortunately she didn't get hurt at all. And she said to me "I'm all right because I have strong arms which were built up for playing tennis in my youth." I was so relieved then.
She is no more.
