Pickled Daikon radish with Beer

It's getting cold and I saw some snow fairies (insects) or Yukimushi today. It's like snow and it tells us the winter is coming soon. I'm going to prepare Kotatsu this weekend.

I learned "pickled daikon radish with beer" from my friend. I've heard of it, but I've never eaten it before. I'll enjoy eating it in two weeks. I can't wait!
I will learn another pickles from her next week too. I'll post it then.

It's very easy to make. Why don't you try it?


Pickled Daikon radish with Beer

5 Daikon radishes
500cc beer
200cc vinegar
100g salt
500g sugar
35g mustard powder

1. peel Daikon radishes and cut into four each of them
2. mix all ingredients except Daikon radish
3. put Daikon radish in [2] (All Daikon radishes don't have to be soaked.)
4. put a weight(about 3kg) on [3]
5. wait two weeks

I use a plastic container with a cover. It smells a little even covered.
