pumpkin soup

I like spoons. When I go on a trip, I sometimes buy a spoon. The spoon I post was made of a cherry tree and I bought it in Matsumae before.

Pumpkins are in season now. Oh, it's fall, isn't it?
I watched a TV program which introduced pumpkins the other day. And I knew for the first time that you should cut from the bottom of it. Because the bottom of pumpkin is softer than the top of it.
I cut as they said. Yes, it was easier than before. I used to cut from the top.

I love pumpkin soup. It's easy to cook and delicious. Why don't you cook it?

*a small pumpkin (or a half of regular size of it)
*a half of onion
*1 table spoon of butter
*2 cups of water
*1 (or 2) cup of milk
*100ml of fresh cream
*a little of salt and pepper
*a few bouillon cubes

1. cut a pumpkin into smaller size like a half of egg.
2. chop a half of onion and fry it with butter in a pressure cooker (or a pot)
3. put pumpkin into the pressure cooker
4. add water and a few bouillon cubes and set up the cooker and heat it for about 5 minutes.
(if you don't have a pressure cooker, you should cut smaller pumpkin than it and you can use a normal pot and heat it until the pumpkin becomes tender)
5. remove the cover and mash the pumpkin with a ladle or something in the cooker (you don't have to take them out from the cooker or the pot)
6. add milk and fresh cream
7. heat it again and put a little of salt and pepper

Hi, Sakae

Thank you for telling us how to cook it.

I like soup, too. I like cold vegetable soup such as
a pumpkin, a potato, a pea, an asparagus and so on.
Please make it cold and put fresh cream.
It's yummy.

They sound delicious. I want to try them, especially asparagus soup. Oh, carrot soup sounds good, too.
