a pencil case

I made a pencil case.
However, it turned out to be a little short because I couldn't put in a ruler unfortunately.

When I made it, I learned how to attach a zipper. Before attaching the zipper, it was a little longer than a sample on the reference book. So I lerned how to make shorter the zipper from 20cm to 17cm. It was interesting. I pulled some teeth(?) by force using pliers one by one for both sides.

Eventually, I didn't have to make shorter the zipper, but it was good for me to learn it. It was not vain.

Hi, Sakae

Your pencase is really good.
I really admire you.
Because I 'm all thumbs when it comes to sewing.
When I was a junior high school student, at home-economic classes I pretended to sew and brought them back home and asked my mom to sew them for me.
I have made 雑巾 for my daughters.
I like embroidery and patchwork.
But to make something , for example, shirts or skirts,
is far beyond my abiiity.
I cannot make patterns.

You are really nice.

Hi, ダイエット妄想ママ.

Thank you for your comment, but I'm still a beginner. I'm not sure I can make it again.
Speaking of embroidery, I went to see Totsuka embroidery exhibition yesterday.
They were very nice and sold, but they were really expensive.
Making embroidery or patchwork takes a long time, so just looking is enough for me.

I like your pencil case.

I'm glad you learned to make the zipper shorter, even if you didn't need to change it. You didn't learn in vain!

Hi, Always visiting.

Thank you for your comment.
That's right, I didn't learn in vain. I'll make a change purse using the skill.
