a hair salon

I envy a woman having a beautiful long hair.

My parents often used to say that I didn't look good in a long hair when I was a child. So I had a short hair in those days. I remember that I cried when I had to have a hair cut, and after that I wore and hung down a towel from my head and enjoyed sometimes as it was, and sometimes tying up with rubber bands on back or both sides like real hair. And even I went out in the neighborhood with wearing it. I was a funny child.

When I was younger, I had a long hair for a while. However I realized that I didn't look good as my parents said. And I have a little bit wavy hair, so when it grows it becomes worse.

Still now, I don't like to go to a hair salon. Because it takes a long time, so I always book in advance. I prefer reading to chatting with a hairdresser, so I take a book, but I always end up reading only some magazines during the time. It's a good chance to read magazines which I don't read usually.

I went to a hair salon yesterday. A staff served a cup of tea as well as some magazines. The cup was very pretty and there was no customer but me, so I took a photo of it.

Oh my goodness. That is a lovely cup! I would like to have some tea from it.

I like chatting to the hair dresser. I get a straight perm so I go every two months or so.

Hi, Always visiting.

Thank you for your comment.
Yes, it was lovely. And the apple tea was good, too. When I went there for the first time, the staff asked me tea or coffee. Since then, she always serves me a cup of tea. I like coffee too, but I usually have it at home.

Oh, you get a straight perm, don't you? Do you have a long hair?

My hair is right above my bra strap. (We call it bra strap length here!) I'm hoping to get to mid back length. My hair was slightly longer this time last year. So it's about the longest it has ever been.

Hi, Always visiting.

Thank you for your comment and telling me the expression.
'bra strap length' is interesting. It means the top of shoulders, doesn't it? I wonder whether men even boys can use the expression.
My hair is avove my bra strap, too!

For us, bra strap length means the actual bra strap clasp (not sure what the word is). Look at this picture: http://www.naturalhaircommunity.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/Hair-Growth-Chart1.jpg

I am arm pit length now!

I am not sure if a man can use that expression, haha.

Hi, Always visiting.

Thank you very much.
The picture is easy to understand, but 'bra strap length' is difficult even looking this picture.
My hair is chin length now.
