spring vegetables from Hokkaido

I think that representatives of spring vegetables in Hokkaido are Gyoujyaninnniku (alpine leek, or 行者にんにく)and asparagus.

Gyoujaninniku's leaves are wider than Chinese chive (ニラ)'s one, but the taste is similar though Gyoujaninniku has stronger.
I cooked them for Tempra last weekend.
And I found a bag of crackers tasted Gyoujaninniku by chance at a supermarket. They were nice, too.

And I bought some thick asparagus.
When I had lived in the mainland, my mother-in-law used to send us luxury ones. Now I usually buy them which are thiner and less expensive.
I had these thick asparagus last night for the first time since then.
They were nice, too.

Recommended Corrections:

I think that the Spring vegetables which best represent Hokkaido are
the Gyoujaninniku (Alpine Leek) and the Asparagus.

The edible wide leaf portion of the Gyoujaninniku plant is much wider
than that of the Chinese Chive plant. Although they taste similar to
one another, the Gyoujaninniku has a stronger flavor.

I made Gyoujaninniku Tempura last weekend. It was quite delicious.
I had also stumbled upon a bag of Gyoujaninniku
flavored crackers at the supermarket. These, too, were delicious.

Recommended Corrections:

Although I usually buy the thinner and less expensive Asparagus
stalks, while I was at the supermarket, I decided to treat my family
to some thick stalked Asparagus.

When I lived in the mainland, my Mother-In-Law used to send us
these luxuriously thick Asparagus stalks.
Last night was the first time I had these thick stalked Asparagus
since receiving them from her. These were especially
delicious because they reminded me of the kindness of my Mother-In-Law.

Hi, shiroi tora.

Thank you very much for the corrections.
At first I didn't know how to use the word 'represent' although I looked over a dictionary. Now I learned not only it but also other things.
