Ikebana 7/2/2014

IMG_5808_convert_20140703153951.jpg

I had composed this arrangement from Okra (オクラ), Thunberg Spirea (ユキヤナギ), and Sunflower (ヒマワリ).
Even the stem of okra was slimy to the touch.

After arranging flowers, my teacher served me homemade cold sweet red-bean soup with some rice-flour dumplings. I love it. It was so nice. Thank you very much.

After arranging flowers, my teacher served me homemade cold sweet red-bean soup with some rice-flour dumplings. *I love it. It was so nice. Thank you very much.

* If you had meant it as a general statement, that you love it, then ok...however, it is best to say that you 'loved it' and then to qualify with something like, 'it has always been one of my favorite treats'.

Otherwise....very good!

I didn't realize you could arrange okra! I thought it was just something we got for lunch in elementary school.
