grapes

My aunt sent me a lot of grapes and I received them this morning.
They were very sweet and delicious. And I made a phone call to her to say thank you.

I appreciated it very much.
However...
She sent them by ordinary delivery service, not refrigerated one. Usually it takes two days from her place, so unfortunately, many of the grapes got fallen off from the cluster after a long way in a vehicle.
There were too many grapes for our family, so I wanted to share with someone, but I can't give them because of imperfection.
It would be good to make cakes or something with the grapes if I have enough time, but I'm very busy now.
I'm at a loss.
As a matter of fact, it happened last year, too.

I wish I could say to her to use refrigerated delivery service, but I can't. The transportation charge is expensive between Hokkaido and her place, so I don't want her to spend more money for that.

P.S.

Recommended Corrections:

My aunt had sent me a lot of grapes, and I received them this morning.
I called to thank her, and to tell her how very sweet and delicious they were. I appreciated her thoughtfulness very much.

However...she had sent them by ordinary non-refrigerated delivery service. As it usually takes two days from her place, many of the grapes had fallen from their stems after having endured such an arduous journey.

There were too many grapes for our family to finish before they went bad. Although I had wanted to share them with some of my neighbors, because of all of the imperfections as a result of their journey, I simply couldn't.

I wish I had the time to turn the leftover grapes into something delicious, however, I don't have the time.
I'm at a loss.
As a matter of fact, the same situation occurred last year, too.

I wish I could tell her to send the grapes by refrigerated delivery service, but I can't. The transportation charge is expensive between Hokkaido and her place. I certainly wouldn't want her to spend any extra money for something she is doing for me out of the kindness of her heart.

Re: English Corrections

Hi, shiroi tora.

Thank you very much for the corrections as always.

I learned the word 'arduous' from you. And I also learned 'stem'. I didn't know how to say that.
Now I'm making Grape Tart after all. I'll post it later.

Can you make grape jam or grape jelly?

Re: No title

Hello, no name.

I've never made grape jam, but probably I can make it if I follow the recipe. I've made strawberry, apple, and orange jam before.
Thank you for your comment. Please tell me your name next time.

Oops, Sakae, it was me who wrote about grape jelly or grape jam. My name didn't show up, and I didn't notice at first. Sorry!
