New Year's resolution 2015

My son's school just started today.
Below you will find my New Year's resolution.

1. start online English lessons
2. get over 800 points on TOEIC test
3. exercise more
4. go on a trip

1. I took part in an English club last month, and I met a woman who has learned online lessons everyday for two months. She spoke English quite well while I realized that my speaking level was low.
After the club, I asked her about the online lessons in detail. Then, I had decided to start the lessons from this year.
And I've already learned them everyday for several days. Most of the teachers are Filipinos, but there are some other foreigners as well. However, apparently almost all of them are non-native English speakers.
Yesterday, I talked with a Serbian. As it was the first time for me to talk with one from Serbia, I enjoyed it very much. Before the lesson, I checked the country on a map. I'm embarrassed to say that but I didn't know about the country well. I chose a lesson which was a free-conversation, and I asked many things about his country.

You can choose how to learn on the lessons. I thought that it was the most difficult for me. I should find the best way to improve my speaking level by myself. Now I'm looking for it on the online lessons.

2. As you may know, I got 820 points on the last TOEIC test in last September, but I don't think it was my real ability. Because I hadn't gotten over 800 points on almost all practice tests before the test. Maybe, it was a fluke.
So, I want to get it or more again.
I had been lazy since I took the test last time, but I resumed to study for it in the early morning this year. So I go to bed before 22:00 o'clock and I get up at 4:00 o'clock.

3. Although I've watched my diet to improve my cholesterol level, especially in New Year's holidays, I found yesterday that it was not still good. So, I should exercise and watch my diet more.

4. This year is one of the most memorable year in my life, so I want to go on a trip. To tell the truth, I want to go abroad, but my husband doesn't like to go there and he can't take a long holiday, either. He wants to go on a trip around Hokkaido, while my son wants to do in Okinawa, while I want to do in Miyako Island if I choose inside Japan.
And I said to my family, "I want to go abroad alone aside from our family trip." However, they opposed it.
Now I'm thinking where to go.

1. I took part in an English club last month, and I met a woman who had been learning English through daily online lessons. She had already been an online student for two months at the time I had spoken with her. She spoke English quite well. This made me realize that my speaking level was low by comparison.

After the club, I asked her about the online lessons in detail. After speaking with her, I decided to start online lessons from the beginning of the new year.

I've been taking daily online lessons for several days now. Most of the teachers are Filipinos, but there are some other foreigners as well. However, apparently almost all of them are non-native English speakers.
Yesterday, I talked with a Serbian. As it was the first time for me to talk with someone from Serbia, I enjoyed it very much. Before the lesson, I had to search for the location of the country on a map. I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I didn't know enough about the country before my pre lesson research. I chose a lesson which utilized free conversation, and I asked him many questions about his country.

You may choose how you learn the lessons. * Before I started the online lessons, I realized that conversational English was the most difficult portion of English for me to perform. I then decided that I should find the best way to improve my speaking level using online lessons, as had my friend.

*I had to assume your intent through the content. I could have misinterpreted the meaning.

2. As you may know, I got 820 points on my last TOEIC test last September, but I don't think it was a true measure of my real ability because I hadn't gotten over 800 points on almost all of the practice tests before the official test. Maybe, it was a fluke.
So, I want to see if I can get at least the same score in another TOEIC test.

I had been lazy about studying English since I took the test last time, but I resumed my study of it in the early morning hours beginning from the first of the year. So I now go to bed before 10:00 PM, and I get up at 4:00 AM.

3. Although I've been watching my diet to improve my cholesterol level, especially during the New Year's holidays, yesterday, I found out that my levels were still not good. So, I should exercise and watch my diet more from now on.

4. This year has been one of the most memorable years in my life, so I want to go on a trip. To tell the truth, I want to go abroad, but my husband doesn't like to travel overseas. Besides, he can't take a long holiday anyway. He wants to go on a trip *around Hokkaido, while my son wants to do the same in Okinawa. If I must limit my travels to Japan, I want to travel around Miyako Island.

*If you mean an actual trip around the perimeter of the said islands. If not, then you would say, 'to'. If you mean to travel from one end to another, you would say, 'through'.

I said to my family, "I want to go abroad alone, aside from our family trip." However, they opposed it.

Now I'm trying to decide where to go.

Re: English Corrections

Hi, Shiroi Tora.

Thank you very much for the corrections.

As for *, I wanted to say that ...
The online lessons' company I'm learning has many items(ways), such as various textbooks ( you can download one from the site ), free conversation, depending on a teacher about how to learn for the student. So, you can choose one from those items on a lesson every time. It's the most difficult for me to choose the best way.

Good luck. I hope you get to take an exciting trip.

Re: No title

Hi, Always visiting.

My son and I like swimming in the sea, but my husband doesn't. It's difficult to choose a place.
Thank you for your comment.
