online English lessons

IMG_7404_convert_20150203090528.jpg

As I mentioned before, I've learned online English lessons everyday for nearly three weeks to improve my speaking level.

The first a few weeks, I tried several teachers, but now I found my favorite teacher. And I always choose her.
I think that it is important to find a good teacher, because all of the teachers are not so good. A teacher I tried before made quite a few mistakes when he was reading an article.
You can also judge from the number of 'Favorite' sign which you can see how many students like the teacher.

Secondly, how do I learn by the online lessons?
At first, I had tried free conversations, because I had thought it was difficult for me to choose good materials to learn.
Now, I choose a daily news for beginners everyday. It is the best material for me, because it has Japanese translations of the daily news and I can learn various topics from them. And it has some questions and some themes for discussion relevant to the subject of the news below the article.
At first, I had repeated the article after the teacher, but I thought it was waste of time. So I read it beforehand, then we start from the questions.
I look forward to reading the news every morning.

There are two materials of the daily news on the website. One is for beginners, and the other is more difficult without translations.
I had wanted to choose the difficult one at first, but when I find difficult words or sentences, I want to know them in exact Japanese.
Then, I asked my Japanese friend who is almost the same level as me to learn using the news with me. She was willing to accept my offer.
So we enjoy learning it everyday by skype. I think it is a very good learning for each other. We don't learn from any teachers, so it's free.
I hope my speaking level will improve from both of the online lessons.

I'm really glad to hear about your online English lessons. I sometimes look at "NHK Easy Web" which has the news in easy Japanese. There's also Hiragana Times.

I am looking forward to your cheesecake recipe. :)

For awhile, I was trying to decide the best way to learn through my online lessons.

At first, I had tried free conversation. However, because it was difficult for me to choose good topics of discussion, I tried something else.
Now, I choose the 'daily news for beginners' lesson everyday. It is the best material for me because it has Japanese translations of the daily news, and I can learn about various topics from the articles. Below each article there are some questions and themes for discussion relevant to the topic of the news.

At first, I had reread the article after the teacher had read it, but I thought it was waste of time. Now, I read it beforehand so we may start the lesson directly from the questions.
I look forward to reading the news every morning.

There are two versions of the daily news on the website. One is for beginners, and the other is more difficult as it is without any translation.
I had wanted to choose the more difficult one at first, but when I find difficult words or sentences, I want to know them in exact Japanese.

I asked a Japanese friend of mine who is almost the same level as me, to learn with me, using the news. She *accepted my offer.

*For someone to be willing to accept something means they have yet to accept it. They are willing to say yes, but have yet to do so for whatever reason.

So, we enjoy learning English everyday by skype. I think it is a very good learning method for each of us. As we don't learn using any teachers, it's free.
I hope my speaking level will improve from both types of my online lessons.

Hi, Always visiting.

You seem to study Japanese hard.
I'll post the cheese cake recipe later.
Thank you for your comment.

Re: English Corrections

Hi, Shiroi Tora.

Thank you very much for the corrections.

I had a misunderstanding of using 'be willing to'. I checked it on my dictionary again.
