Souma Company building
It was built with the Renaissance-style in Hakodate in 1913.

When a month past after I moved here, my old friend visited us from the mainland.
Although she was a stranger here, she drove instead of me and we visited many places. At that time, I was also stranger here. She was good at driving and she chose where to go and she was like a tour guide for me. She stayed two nights here. One night was at a hotel with me and the other night was at my place.

When she came here on the first day, she took a bus to where I was able to drive. Because I didn't know where the airport was by car. After we met, she drove instead of me. Thanks to her, we had a good time for two days.
On the last day, she drove to the Hakodate airport, and I had to drive from the airport to my place by myself. Before going to the airport, she taught me how to back to my place with drawing a map.

It was after seven o'clock in the evening, and it was raining. I was driving with full of worries. Then I got lost in the way. I didn't know where it was. So, I stopped at a parking lot of a big store and I was going to ask a store clerk where it was on the map. When I was about to enter the store, a woman and her old father (maybe) were also coming to the store. I asked her where it was. At first, she explained using the map, but then she said to me to follow her and she didn't enter the store and backed to her car. And she also said she would go to another store.
Then I followed her car. When we drove to a main road I knew, she pulled over her car and signed with her hand to me to go ahead. I couldn't do anything except bowing my head. In the end I couldn't say thanks to her.

That is very regretful for me still now.

It was built in the Renaissance-style in Hakodate, in 1913.

After having lived here for only a month, an old friend visited us from the mainland.
Although she was a stranger here, she drove us around, instead of me, and we visited many places. At that time, I was also a stranger here. She was a good driver, and she chose where to go. She was like a personal tour guide. She stayed two nights here. On our first night out, we stayed at a hotel, and on the next night, we stayed at my place.

Because I didn't know how to get to the airport by car, when she came here on the first day, she took a bus to where I was able to pick her up in my car. After we met, she drove instead of me. Thanks to her, we had a good time for two days.
On the last day, she drove to Hakodate airport, and I had to drive home by myself. Before going to the airport, she showed me how to return home by drawing me a map.

It was after seven o'clock in the evening, and it was raining. I was filled with anxiety as I attempted to drive home. I soon got lost on the way. So, I stopped at the parking lot of a big store. I was going to ask a store clerk where we were on the map, however, just as I was about to enter the store, a woman and her old father (maybe) were also going into the store. I asked her where the main road home was. At first, she explained using the map, but then she said for me to follow her. She said she would go to another store and she led me to her car.
I then got into my car and followed her as she led the way in her car. When we drove to a main road I knew, she pulled over her car and signed with her hand for me to go ahead. I couldn't do anything except bow my head. In the end, I couldn't say thanks to her.

I still feel regret at my not being able to thank her appropriately for her kindness.

Hi, Shiroi Tora.

Thank you very much for the corrections.
I often make a mistake about 'on the way'.
