I made pickled scallions. I have to wait for three weeks. They go well with fried rice as well as curry and rice.

This is my parents' bookshelf.
It was made by my uncle who was a carpenter. When I was a child, he made it for my family. When the bookshelf was put into my parents' house, some men carried it from outside through the window of the second floor. Because it was too big to carry through stairs. There were many books in the bookshelf on the second floor.

However, my parents are going to move, so they have to throw away many things. They already threw away many books, too.
Since they are old, my brother sometimes goes to help them from the place where it takes three hours by car. My brother thinks the bookshelf should be thrown away. Because it is too big and old.

I'm very sad to hear that. Because I think it is valuable for me. I really want it. My bookshelves are small and they would be broken easily. I want my parents' bookshelf which is big and solid at any cost. However, I live in a small apartment and have to move repeatedly. And it's far a way from my hometown. Carrying it is costly.

I've been thinking the way not to throw away the bookshelf, but I haven't found it.
I'm very sad.

I'm sorry to hear about that bookshelf. I think old furniture is very solid. It also looks very nice.

Glad to see you making more pickles.

Re: No title

Hello, Always visiting.

It is very solid, but not stylish. It's just simple.
Simple is the best, isn't it?
Peeling scallions one by one was time consuming.
Thank you for your comment.

I've been hoping to find of a way to keep the bookshelf, but I haven't found a way yet.
I'm very sad.

Re: English Corrections

Hello, Shiroi Tora.

Thank you very much for the corrections.

I had wondered whether the word 'fragile' could be used for a bookshelf when I wrote this article. Because it is usually used such as a glass.
I was glad to learn it.
