Goodbye, Mr. Fridge.

Mr. Fridge is about thirty years old.
When I got married, my husband had a small fridge for living alone. Around that time, his coworker started living with his parents. They wanted to have a smaller fridge, so, my husband exchanged his small one with their bigger one they had used.
Since then, we have lived with him, Mr. Fridge for 25 years.

A few days ago, he stopped working.
I thought it was time to buy a new one. Since it has been very hot everyday, I rushed to the store and ordered one.
I had to use foods inside the fridge to empty as much as possible, so, I had been busy for cooking and cleaning not only the fridge, but also the kitchen. To tell the truth, they were messy.

While the inside of the fridge had more room, he started working again.
I had already paid for a new one, but it was supposed to come two days later.
After my husband came home from a hard work, he made way for a new fridge such as moving a heavy microwave and so on reluctantly.

Next day, I had been in a dilemma whether I would cancell or not. I should have treated him more kindly. I mean I had packed foods too much in him. However, he started working again. I wanted to take his death in my house someday.
In the evening, I called the shop to cancell it. A few hours later, when my husband came home from work, I told about it to him.
Surprisingly, he got angry with me and he said to me that put heavy things back by myself. He also said that it would be broken soon again.

In the end, a new fridge came home today.
I was sorry for Mr. Fridge, and said to him, 'Thank you and goodbye, Mr. Fridge.'
I was taken a photo with him at the end.

Good-bye Mr Fridge! We will miss you.

My grandmother had a freezer like this from the 1960s. It worked for over 50 years.

Re: No title

Hi, Always visiting.

50 years! Wow, I can't believe it. I'd like to know its maker.
Thank you for your comment as always.
