a lunchbox for my son 息子の弁当

IMG_8551_convert_20150911123238.jpg

My son went on a school excursion. So, I made a box lunch for him.
At first, I had asked him what he wanted to eat.
To my surprise, he requested me to make every single item in detail.
For example, three cheese gyoza dumplings, three mixed vegetable and meat dumplings, two hamburg steaks, carrot, and three skewered three soybeans.
He also requested me to sprinkle some salt on the rice and put seaweed on the top.

It was a little difficult for me, but I wanted to meet his requirement as much as possible, because making box lunch was not so often. I had prepared some of them the night before the day.
I put a small bottle for gyoza sauce in the lunch box. I didn't put any garlic in the gyoza not to smell strongly.

After he came home, fortunately, the lunch box was empty. He said that it was delicious.
I was glad to hear this.

At first, I had asked him what he wanted to eat.
To my surprise, his reply had specified and detailed every group of items he wished to be in his lunch box.
Specifically, three cheese gyoza dumplings, three mixed vegetable and meat dumplings, two hamburger steaks, a carrot, and three skewers of three soybeans.
He also requested that I sprinkle some salt on the rice and put seaweed on the top.

Re: English Corrections

Hello, Shiroi Tora.

Thank you very much for the corrections.
I have a question.
Don't you say 'carrot' which means sliced carrot, not 'a carrot'?

Answer to Sakae's question

Sakae's Question:

Do not you say 'carrot' Which Means sliced carrot, not ' a carrot '?

My Reply:

You are correct. I should have looked at the picture more closely.

However, just the word 'carrot' is incorrect. It should have been ' some carrot slices'.

Re: Answer to Sakae's question

Hi, Shiroi Tora.

Thank you very much for your answer.

I love the picture of your lunch box. I'm glad your son liked his lunch.

I bought salt koji the other day. It'll be delivered on Monday.

Re: No title

Hello, Always visiting.

Oh, salt koji! I like it. You can use it anytime instead of just salt. And it's healthy.
Thank you for your comment.
