I went to my hometown to attend a reunion party last weekend. I had a great time.

IMG_8588_convert_20150915123122.jpg

I wore this my handmade dress with a black lacy cardigan I had bought before.

The party was held at a nice restaurant. Forty five people out of nearly one hundred fifty came to the party. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was really good. I had escargot for the first time. It was nice, too. We enjoyed talking, eating, and drinking there.
Especially, many women looked younger than I had imagined. Some people had changed their characters in comparison with their childhoods. Almost all people have mellowed out over some decades.
At the end of the party, I received a warm applause from people because I was the person who came from the farthest among them.

After the party, some of them including me went to a Karaoke room. I was surprised that nearly half of men were singing English songs and they sang really well.
I discovered their other good points through I listened to their singing and talking.

Next day, one of my friends invited me for lunch.
Her mother was a nice cook. She made a wonderful lunch for us. It was amazing! I wish I were a good cook like her.

Actually, my son has been coughing since last Friday. I had wanted my husband to take him to a hospital last Saturday, but they didn't go there because his coughing was not so bad.
However, his coughing got worse the next day and he was absent from school last Monday.
As my husband couldn't go out from his office during the day, I was going to take my son to the hospital after I came home from the trip.
However, the flight had been delay as many as two hours because the mechanical problem had occurred. So, I had to give up going there in open time.

After I arrived at Hakodate Airport in the evening, I took a wrong detour bus. Hakodate's bus route was really complicated, so, I often made a mistake. Unfortunately, it took more time and I had to pay more than usual. After I arrived at the first destination, I had to take another bus.
To make matters worse, I took a wrong bus again. At first, the bus had approached to my house, but it went to a different direction on the way. I asked a driver to drop me off on the way as soon as I noticed, but he turned me down and I had to wait for the next bus stop. Unfortunately, the next bus stop was quite distant from the previous bus stop.
I ended up walking with carrying a heavy suitcase and a couple of bags for thirty minutes to my house.
I was really tired.

Hello, Shiroi Tora.

Thank you very much for the corrections.
What does the 'a round of applause' mean? I can imagine from the words that people around me make a circle and clap their hands for me.

I'm sorry to hear about your bus detour. :(

I love the dress. I also love the picture of the food!

Re: No title

Hello, Always visiting.

Thank you for your comment.
The soup was miso and Tonyu (soy milk) soup. It was nice, too. I had it for the first time.

Answer to Sakae's question

Sakae's Question:

My Reply:

A round of applause is when a group of people give applause. I suspect it had come from the saying of 'a round of drinks'. This is when someone buys everyone a drink.
