The confectionery company 'Rokkatei' has released 'Marusei Butter Cake' recently.
As I mentioned before, 'Marusei Butter Sandwich cookies' are very popular in Japan. Since the new name was similar to 'Marusei Butter Sandwich cookies', many people as well as me expected how the new sweet was. The new cakes were put at the entrance area to promote. While I was at the shop, many of customers bought the new cakes. Of course, I bought some, too.

Chocolate cream was sandwiched by rich sponge cake. It was delicious, but to be honest, I thought that it should have named another name. It was different from 'Marusei Butter Sandwich cookies'. I still prefer 'Marusei Butter Sandwich cookies' to 'Marusei Butter Cake'.

The other day, I made an Apple Caramel Cake.

Unfortunately, the cake I made turned out to be different from the picture on the recipe book. When I caramelized apples, the apples were melted completely. I should have made them solid.

On Saint Valentine's Day, yesterday was different from before.
I gave chocolates to my husband and son as usual in the early morning. It was the same as before.

However, when it was at around 9:30, a girl visited us and she gave a bag of chocolate to my son. Before she visited us, her mother had emailed me that it was 'Tomo-choco', which means a gift from as a friend. The chocolates she gave was from a shop.

An hour later, another girl visited us. She gave a bar of brownie to my son. It seemed to be homemade.
Does my son like her? I don't know. I wanted to taste a little of it, but I missed it unfortunately.

In the afternoon, we went to see my son's soccer games.
After the games, a girl of his team gave homemade chocolates to all members including my son.

After all, he got a lot of chocolates from girls yesterday.
However, after he had chocolates, he was worried about the coming White Day which will be March 14th. He will have to give gifts for them in return.
I asked him, "Why won't you make the gifts by yourself?".
He answered "No!".

The other day, I made an Apple Caramel Cake.

Unfortunately, the cake I had made turned out to be different from the picture in the recipe book. When I caramelized the apples, they completely disintegrated. Properly made caramelized apples should remain solid.
