Sicilian Rice

Last month, my son told me that his school served Sicilian Rice for lunch.

The menu was
Sicilian Rice, egg soup, an orange, and milk.

The ingredients of the Sicilian Rice were beef, onion, garlic, cabbage, carrot, red bell pepper, and green bell pepper.

I wondered if it was a foreign dish.
I checked it on the Internet. To my surprise, it says that it is Saga prefecture's (in Japan) local cuisine. A Japanese chef working at an Italian retaurant came up with it. He used three colored ingredients the same as Italian flag, and named Sicilian Rice from Sicilia Island.

I thought that it is similar with Taco Rice. You can use any vegetables colored with three, and you should put mayonnaise sauce on the top.

I checked on the Internet. To my surprise, it says that it is Saga prefecture's (in Japan) local cuisine. A Japanese chef working at an Italian restaurant came up with it. He used three colored ingredients, each of which had one unique color of the three colors of the Italian flag. It is named Sicilian Rice from Sicilia Island.

I thought that it was similar to Taco Rice. You can use any vegetables that match the three colors, and you should put mayonnaise sauce on the top.

Hello Shiroi Tora.

Thank you so much for the corrections as always.
Oh, I should remember 'be similar TO'. I often made mistakes about it.
