go on a trip to Yakumo

A friend of mine drove me to her hometown, Yakumo Cho. It takes from about one and a half hours from Hakodate by car.
It was very beautiful day fortunately.

First, we went to her birth place. Her mother's house is vacant. She is hospitalized in Hakodate now. My friend sometimes goes back there to take care of her house.
Inside the house, she offered an incense stick and prayed in front of her family Buddhist altar.

We then went to a restaurant, Harvester.

↑This is the restaurant.

Luckly, we could seat at the balcony.
The scenery from there was magnificent. You can see the sea over there in these photos.

↑ Pork spareribs and some vegetables.
My friend recommended these spareribs. They were very nice.
They were too much for us, so, we took out the leftover for our children. A waitress kindly gave us doggy bags.

↑White curry and rice were delicious, too.
The toppings were deep fried adductor muscle of scallops, sautéed scallops, a sautéed green papper, and deep fried octopus.
My friend told me that Yakumo Cho is famous for scallops.
I love scallops!

After lunch, we went to a vegetable and souvenir shop next to the restaurant.
We then saw some small animals in a fence.

Finally, we had delicious soft ice cream at the other shop nearby.
