Monthly Ikebana Test 3/18/2018

I took a monthly Ikebana test last Sunday after a long time.

When I was driving, and I was about to get the venue, I noticed that I had left almost everything for the test, such as the most important scissors.
I had to go back to my house to get them. However, I was relieved that I could get the venue on time.
The parking lot doesn't have enough space. So, whenever I go there, I give myself plenty of time to spare when I leave home.
Fortunately, I could park there, too.

After I took the test that I arranged, I knew that the professor had come from my hometown.
I felt an affinity with her soon. When she came to give me an advice for my arrangement (She gave an advice for every student.), I told her that my hometown was the same city as hers. We then talked a few words. I would often join monthly tests in my hometown before, but I've never seen her because she is very young.

The professor arranged two works for us there.

Re: English Corrections

Hello, Shiroi Tora.

Thank you very much for the corrections.

I have a question.
Do you say "an advice" or "advice" (uncountable)?
You corrected "give me advice", but you also corrected "She gave an advice".

Sakae's Question

Sakae's question:

I have a question.
Do you say "an advice" or "advice" (uncountable)?
You corrected "give me advice", but you also corrected "She gave an advice".

My Reply:

I had mistakenly missed the opportunity to correct, "She gave an advice." It is uncountable.

It should have read, "She gave advice to every student."
